About Sahara Racing Team

Sahara Racing team was founded in 2015 under the supervision of the CEO, Eng. Ahmed Shouman. The kickoff was at EL Gouna’s Rally, while participating with a T3 buggy, the team has also entered other competitions in the same year. The races went on during the following years of 2016 & 2017 in which the team drove a under the supervision of the CEO, Eng. The races went on during the following years of 2016 & 2017 in which the team drove a “T2 Jeep Wrangler “. It also goes by the name of “Herbie” classified as Stock car category.Later, in the year of 2017, the team welcomed a “Dodge Ram “to the fleet, also known as “ Gloria” in which it was enrolled under the T1 modified vehicles tier. 2018 & 2019 were booming years in which the team achieved great results, but unfortunately the streak was stopped due to the pandemic. The team was back in action by 2021 ready to compete in the Desert Rally with the introduction of the “ Jeep Cherokee “ for the first time, it went with the name of “Cheetah” joining under stock cars category T2.The Cheetah still climbing hills till today! The team was crowed holding 1st place in various tiers as well as acquiring the Egyptian championship Cup. During this prosperous journey, many category T2. Team Founder

Ahmed Shouman, a mechanical engineer who holds a great passion for desert vehicles. Mr. Showman started his career by establishing his own company “4×4 Zone” over a decade ago, back in 2010 by customizing Rally cars , 4×4 and desert vehicles. In the year 2011, he has been appointed as a General Manager for the International Racing Team holding the name of “The Desert Pharaohs” , after being recognized for his great achievements in local and abroad races in which he has competed. The team has undertaken various international challenges, most importantly “The International Pharos Rally” in the same year of 2011

Mr. Shouman’s consecutive progress and achievements continues where he has occupied many positions internationally and locally. To mention a few, and as a result of his high capabilities he has been assigned to many positions in the year of 2013 as an instructor at the Rally School which is monitored by The Automobile & Touring Club of Egypt. Within the span of just 2 years Mr. Showman has been able to successfully establish “The Sahari Racing Team” since 2015. Diversifying his options, by 2020 he has entered the Car servicing field by laying the foundation of a company that specializes in the customization of SUV’s. The journey of challenges and inspirations is a never ending one
